On January 30, 2018, the Mo-Girls Staff held it's annual winter coaches meeting. The meeting presents the obvious club updates and announcements, but also this has often been the time we renew our "why" as a club coaching staff, meaning, we reconfirm "why we coach". This year Staff Directors will continue to encourage coaches to "connect" with their teams, not just in training and game situations, but in other ways too. We challenged each coach to find ways to enrich the team experience with other activities off the field that bond players together and help to create lifelong friendships. Such activities as Upper 90 Community Service Projects and Team Functions to give the team experience added value outside of the fun of learning new skills and competing in games.
The meeting included food and drink and a traditional raffle for SLSG gear creating a positive vibe from all those who attended. We could not be more appreciative of our club coaches. We know that they sacrifice unimaginable amounts of time and effort for the players of SLSG. And we know that the true reason for their investment in the girls, or their "why", is because they want to help players develop a passion and love for a game we all have enjoyed in our lives. We hope that by "connecting with their teams" they only find the experience as a coach to be that much more enriching and memorable.
