The SLSG Girls ECNL Regional League Program consists of girls teams U13 through U19. The program is designed to create a competitive environment for players to continue to develop their playing abilities and understanding of the game. Players participate in training sessions that are developed and run by SLSG Illinois team specific coaches.
The competition platform consists of participation in the ECNL Regional League Heartland Conference, as well as tournaments/ showcases. The Girls ECNL Regional Leagues are operated and managed by the Girls ECNL to insure a consistent environment and level of professionalism across all leagues. Each league allows improved coordination and collaboration between teams of different levels within ECNL clubs, or opportunity for teams and players in other clubs to develop through regular high level competition.The league consists of various teams and clubs from around the country that will compete within their conferences, and specifically the conference SLSG will compete in, the Heartland Conference will consists of clubs from the Midwest. ECNL Regional League teams also participate in two to four tournaments each year. Typically, one of the selected events takes place outside of the St. Louis area, while the others are played locally. The high school aged teams participate in college showcases instead of or in addition to tournaments to assist the players who have interest in playing collegiate soccer.
